New faces at BFX!
We've recently welcomed four new people to the BFX team.
First is Jeanette Thom, our new animation producer that joined us in March. She has over 14 years experience and has been at Bladeworks for four years as a commercials producer before moving to the BFX team. She is bubbly, enthusiastic and a great motivator for the team.
Robin De Jager, a very creative fine arts graduate, has joined us from a stint in CAR. After getting the low-down on the technical side of Bladeworks, he now helps to research and conceptualize projects for BFX. He has a brain filled to the brim with visual references and inspiration, an invaluable resource for directors and creatives. He is also acquiring 3D and 2D animation skills at a rapid rate. More about Robin on his website.
There are also two new talented additions to the motion graphics team.
Reinhardt Engelbrecht joined BFX at the start of June and has been solidly busy creating motion graphics pieces for our clients since then. He specializes in After Effects and is also expanding his 3D skills. Click here to see his previous work.
Another experienced artist, Hein Schlebusch, joined on the 1st of July and he increases the head count of the motion graphics team to five.

Just when you thought Halloween was over, and it is safe to wander outside, the character animation team of BFX have one more trick-or-treat up their sleeve!

Cape Town Got Animated!
From 17 - 21 October Cape Town played host to Kunjanimation 2012, South Africa's only National event exclusively dedicated to celebrating the art of animation.
And BFX was there!
We spent five jam-packed days immersing ourselves in workshops and lectures and screenings and well... all things animation. Oh, did we mention that BFX's very own Justin Horne designed this year's logo?
